Fox Knives FKMD FX446ODS Review. I have owned the FX-446 GR from FKMD for almost 4 years now. It's folder which get used heavily by me and I don't care if it gets wet or dirty. It's built tough and meant to be used not looked at. I decided to get a FX-446 ODS because the FKMD FX-446 ODS features some wicked serrations. Serration on a knife, particularly a folder for EDC are extremely useful for cutting cords and ropes much faster than a straight edge. That's physics. FOX Knives, really know how to design and implement such serrations. The FKMD FX-446 ODS has all the same cool features as my FX-446 GR. Here I will explain all.

Made in Italy
comes with a Torx wrench for changing the directional carry of the pocket clip and all other bolts, including the main pivot.

Totally recommended.

Nice review. One question about the lawks: Now of course Extrema Ratio produces military knives, I have the Mf2 and the MPC. Both have safety locks. The MF2 is a medium folder (thinner blade), but a military knife. This FKMD is also a tactical knife with a safety. But the question is how much abuse such locks would withstand in a vigorous testing situation. I mean to say, that if there is a military purpose, one could try to pry a box open with the knife, fight with the knife, hit something hard accidentally, or just use it as a tool. In this case under normal use, Lawks should be fine. But in case someone tries to fight or abuse the knife, throw the knife, Lawks could not be enough, and fail? which would beat the military purpose. So while in the Heaviest (HF1) folders the thick safety pin is a good redundancy, the Lawks is in effect just a limited safety, which could fail? Or is it a full safety, but would damage the system on the cost of saving your fingers? Should it not be able to withstand military usage? I mean one has to be careful with a folding knife all the time. But if some soldier stabs with the knife and it folds back on his fingers.... Look at the dark talon. It has no safety pin, yet a very long blade. So how do you figure the intended usage of a knife would be with a safety system such as Lawks system? A medium safety system or a strong safety mechanism to save one's fingers? So what kind of abuse can it take and not take do you think?
I read your article about the need for redundancy for military knives, but it does not in effect cover, the real-life usage strength and weakness. So in that sense, Lawks is either a good medium-scale safety meant to save fingers only, or a great, strong safety in knife usage to withstand abuse.

I actually used to own they plain edge model! Definitely a good folder just didn’t carry it was much as I wanted. If I got one again I’d try the aluminum handle model. Great review brother!
