Former NBA champion and ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins recently launched a new business venture that gives prospective college athletes up-front cash in exchange for a cut of their future potential NIL earnings in what many are describing, including his fellow coworkers at ESPN, as a predatory model resembling pay-day loan operations.
