Stallone inspires me. He had nothing handed to him. The guy is truly a self-made man. He became a movie star with half of his face paralyzed.

Sly never gets credit for his writing skills, but damn, this guy can write some inspirational words.

Fun Fact: After the success of Rocky, Stallone tracked down his dog he sold and bought him back.

Favorite Ricky quote: Life isn't about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and still keep going. The first time a movie actually related to my life.

He was almost 30 when he got his break with Rocky.

It's like his character quote from Rocky: "It's not about how hard you hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep on moving forward."

Fun Fact: The two turtles, Cuff and Link, that he had in this movie, are still alive as of 2020. He visits them at the pet shop where the owner of them keeps them. They are 45 years old now.❤️

“I had to sell my dog” I can imagine how painful it is to experience this

Poverty is a hell of a motivator. The key is to survive and emerge from it virtuous.

This guy is so nice and humble. I used to live downtown in Philadelphia. He was in the Pizza Shop. He spoke to and talked with everyone. He would let you talk to him Until you were finished. Then he bought you pizza. So humble…. So Kind…. So beautiful!!!

Blows my mind finding out some of the most recognizable names in film were literally regular people just like us. Most of us are doing better than he was until he was in his 30s. Makes you want to dream big 🌟

I feel so sad for his past. I notice that when people who truly know what suffering means, they end up becoming positive, strong, humble, hard workers!! They develop sooo much character & integrity.

Man I am 25 right now don't really have a bank account but I ain't letting that s*** stop me got a good ass group of people having me through the struggle I'm dealing with a lot more than meets the eye but never letting bad thoughts get to me these past two months have been really hard and I've been watching a lot of these inspirational videos to help keep my head up and I tell you what it's teaching me a lot to keep in touch with the good friends that you have to work hard two also guide yourself an adventure that you want to take and not the ones that you're forced to I have to say I think all of you YouTubers and actors for making these videos because for people like me that are going through these hard times it really helps not to mention I also lost my mom to cancer two months ago she told me on her last days don't let me bring you down just go out to that world and show it who's boss

Life is not about winning...it's about standing up again.

This guy taught me that life can be very unfair most of the time but it's not about how happy I am in life or how unaffected I can be by what life throws at me.It's about expecting negativity any moment in life, embracing it no matter how hard it is, feel it, cry it out, take a break as long as you can afford and then move forward.

I really liked what Sylvester said about life - taking what it throws at you... and even when it knocks you down, you get back up, you keep trying. 💯👍
