My old Fx 6300 was a great budget cpu for me for 4 years but after switching to a 3600x it was a night and day difference. But now the fx6300 is still pushing in a work computer for my aunt

Aside from Cyberpunk and Flight Sim, the FX 6300 seems to be doing 60fps pretty well. I'm impressed considering how people claim that CPU was shit.

I used to have 6300 back in the days and now I have the 5600x. Actually I somehow broke some of the pins on the 6300 so rip. But yea, both are great CPU's of their era.

Im about to retire my trusty FX6300, it’s served me well over the years, as I’ve dipped my feet into PC gaming, I am upgrading to a 5600X and am quite excited to see what an 8 years difference makes!

I'm still running an FX6300 in almost 2022 :-) It's not a primary system.. Just a secondary rig I keep around for various tasks. 1050TI graphics on an ASRock 990FX Extreme mobo. The improvements in TDP is the most impressive thing here. Especially considering the performance gains. AMD were doing ok back in 2012.. Not fantastic. Obviously Ryzen was a gamechanger and it's just got better and better with each generation.
