A truly masterful novel of personal crisis, political conspiracy, and privilege running amok.

Thank you for this review, I will definitly check the book out! I read "May we be forgiven" by AM Homes many years ago. I really enjoyed it at the time and it was one of my favorite books. The dark humor and the absurd situations in this book stood out to me.
However it was so long ago, that I am not sure if I still feel the same way about it today. I really want to re-read it again soon. I think I heard there was some criticism that there were racial sterotypes in "May we be forgiven", but unfortunately I can't excactly remember what it was about.

Enjoyed the review. The father's story sounds very much like an instance of that old saying that evil can't imagine a world without itself in it. The idea being that this is what leads to the stupidity you mention.

Have you ever heard about the novel "What Lot's Wife Saw" by Ioanna Bourazopoulou? I believe that it would be something for you to read and maybe review. Thank you for this insightful review of "The Unfolding".
