Only game I drop money on is FFXIV and that’s just for emotes and mounts that I want, but that doesn’t impact gameplay at all. There are plenty of in-game items to earn if money spending just isn’t your thing

Diablo Immortal actually has a ton of game for free. I still play it daily and have not spent one penny. I don't feel any need to, because I casually pve on my mobile device.
I would pay full price for the game, but I refuse to spend one penny because everything feels like a rip off. Free to play in general is a total scam.
Make a game, charge the cost up front. Charge for expansions but make them worth it. I don't even mind a flat monthly instead of paid expansions.
Free to play causes the design of the game to be purposely not fun, to drag and make you want to buy something, or not able to earn a cool skin.
It's all a marketing scam. I prefer to buy a game.
