The game features the central cast of the 2016 role-playing video game Persona 5. My attempt at explaining why each character got each costume
*Joker as Kiryu:* Both are the main character and both got convicted of a crime they didn't commit
*Ann as Majima:* Both had to put up with a lot of crap for the sake of someone they care about and both have suffered bittersweet farewells
*Makoto as Saejima:* Both gave up their normal lives by choice, both value family and good character, and both punch things really hard
*Haru as Haruka:* Almost the exact same name, and both have shitty biological fathers
*Ryuji as Ryuji:* Exact same name, both are associated with yellow/gold
*Yusuke as Akiyama:* Both are handsome weirdos, both were betrayed by their boss/mentor, both have suffered through poverty
*Futaba as the Florist of Sai:* Both excel at information gathering and surveillance
