So young)), so nervous)))
But whatever nervous, di Stefano is still superb. The voice full of warmth and sunlight.

Her voice is brilliant. I am love with Stefano. Especially the one that he has little cracks like between falsetto and chest voice when he does pianissimo. I wish I could listen to it live. Unluckly he has been attacked by unidentified robbers at his home in Diani Beach :((

Please share ''E la solita storia del pastore...'' from Di Stefano.

Thanks for writing the introduction the english one on top. This is important for who doesn't know english. As you see there is not that much Turkish comment.

Between 1945 and 1955 Di Stefano was the most beautiful lyrical tenor voice in the world. Too bad that after that period a series of factors contributed to ruin such a beautiful voice.

At this point Di Stefano was still making his first recordings & in Switzerland after having fled Italy & fascism. His voice then was not quite as secure as it soon became but the quality was all there & hearing it even then one might conclude that no more beautiful Italian lyric tenor voice could be heard anywhere. In the long run though it was a sad story indeed for by the mid 50s a combination of heavy spinto roles & artistic laziness was increasingly compromising his instrument & career behavior. As Bjorling once apparently said regarding Di Stefano was that he could be greater than all of us if he got his act together. It never happened but the potential one hears in this selection above was clearly there. 4:04 4:04
