Volunteers Feed Abandoned Animals In Liberated Villages North Of Kharkiv | Russia Ukraine War

Three volunteers from the "Woof division" travel to the liberated territories north of Kharkiv three times a week to distribute food to cats and dogs that have been left behind in villages whose residents were either killed or forced to flee the Russian occupation. They ensure that the animals get their fill of "two buckets a day", such as one dog Zhulka, whose owner was "killed by a shrapnel during a strike" and is buried in his garden. One volunteer, Mykhaylo Lobodenko, says of one dog he looks after: "To me the dog is a hero. It is an example of how we should be resilient too."
