MSFS | REAL LIVE TRAFFIC | FULL SETUP TUTORIAL

Показать описание
This video tutorial shows you how to install and set up the required software to achieve real live traffic in Microsoft Flight Simulator!

In today’s video I will show you how to install all the components so anyone with RT+PSXT+AIG can experience realism like I’m demonstrating right now in these shots.

All of these apps work well together and getting them setup is fundamental to having a usable and realistic add-on. Remember this video is a tutorial on how to install each program, in order to get you setup, so I won’t be going through how to use each one.

Thanks for the simple and fast walk through. It works amazingly. This might be the most immersive mod I’ve used. Just stood at the runway threshold watching all the action at LAX in VR for 30 minutes. It’s unbelievable. So much better than AI traffic since the spacing and ground movements are so much more efficient. Not to mention the aircraft will be using actual SIDs, STARs, NATs based on current weather etc… it’s a game changer

I installed this yesterday, and can't get over the amazing realism that this introduces - wish I'd found it earlier! Just a 30 second delay between what is happening in real life, much fuller airports (with some learning ahead of time), including ground taxi and parking at real gates. I don't think I'll ever go back to AIG Traffic Control (though the liveries are still very useful). Thanks for this video, bringing this setup to my attention!

So, my comment is really a question to the Microsoft Flight Simulator experts here: I was a young boy, when I played one of the first Microsoft Flight Simulators, I think at the time the only cool plane to use was a Learjet. Anyway, I am blown away when I see this video now and the possibilities this simulator offers. This is amazing. My question is whether you see the possibility to attend these sorts of „live“ flights under real weather and real air traffic conditions as a passenger in this parallel aviation world? I just don’t see myself learning to fly a 747-8. But maybe I can build a passenger Avatar of my own as a parallel simulation in this simulator, who sits in the cabin for a 15 hour flight and is allowed to sit in the cockpit at times (definitely for takeoff and landing) and get to know the pilots, other passengers and cabin crew on this flight? What if this Avatar passenger can collect airmiles in this parallel aviation world and with those airmiles I can stay at real cool and fancy hotels at the destination, may be even the same hotel the pilots and cabin crew stay at. I can also buy real fancy virtual travel accessories from TUMI or Travelpro and gain access to virtual top tear airline lounges (virtually built, based on real world current lounge specs, and tarmac view based on the live simulation of the virtual flight). I could watch real movies in my virtual seat during those 15 hours and ask for the Asian food option (while I order real Asian food from my local Asian delivery service) and then create the meal virtually for the next virtual business class passenger to chose from at this airline (creating the menu would be sort of a simulation experience for me). I could also sleep (in my real bed) for a good portion of those 15 hours, while also the three (Flight Simulator operator) pilots of this flight rotate into crew rests (their real beds). I could simulate (as a virtual passenger) something that would involve the pilots’ (medical incident or I would get terribly drunk – NOT). What if other “real people” want to be cabin crew for such a flight and attend to me (virtually) - of course they would have to train for live safety instructions and be prepared to evacuate me if the airplane lands on the Hudson River – NOT!). I am sure many here think this would be the most boring thing to “simulate”, being a passenger, but trust me it has not been for me in the real world, clocking in some 500.000 actual airmiles flown as a passenger and looking for ways to explore the planet again, without destroying it, with a near zero CO2 impact. What I regret most, looking back, I was always an “aisle seater”, because I did not want to bother other pax climbing over them – as a result I barely looked out of the window, when flying, what a shame, I wish I did - what if I can re-fly all those flights as a passenger virtually and look out of the (virtual) window this time and see this beautiful planet from above in real time and real weather conditions? Could all (or parts of it) happen on virtual reality glasses? My entire (virtual) trip, from my house (picked up virtually from a cap), seeing all the other Avatars of the flight all the way to my dream destination? And then I could also do “real” work on my virtual (real) laptop when I sit in the simulation flight. I know this would involve a lot of third-party programming (and Mark Zuckerberg?), but I would definitely pay for this and start earning near zero emissions airmiles towards my virtual green frequent flyer status. What do you think? PS: There is a bunch of YouTube channels with juge fan bases, that do exactly what I described above in the real world, reducing travel to just the cabin and airport lounge experience of a flight (i.e. @Josh Cahill, @Sam Chui, @YourTravel.TV or @Nonstop Dan).

Thanks for doing this. I had been using both AIG programs but really like the live data. This looks like it will be the best of both worlds!!

Is there an option to test it before committing to buy the real time traffic subscription ?

It is a pity that Real Traffic can only be purchased by paypal and not by other ways like credit card. My pay pal is blocked and I can't buy it.

So i followed your instructions and all is working as it should.. thx for a very helpful video... taking things a bit further is their any plans for another video explaining all the settings in both programs.. what they are for and what they do... basically taking things to the next level ?

Real Traffic is too expensive for what it does. I did a 30 day subscription and let it expire. The service is worth $19.99 for a full years service. Not

This looks amazing, incredible what this sim is capable of!

Thanks for the awesome video! One question…what settings do I use in the AIG manager? Not sure if I’m suppose to use the same path settings for this set up? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the detailed video on the setup. Could you create a video showing how to setup a flight in MSFS on a particular date which using the data that is being provided by Flightradar24?

I love every single of your videos but the real traffic add on is too expensive for me.... is there any other choice?.... in the meantime I am only using FSLTL, thank you!!!

Question, how do you go on about flying the sim with all this traffic? Let’s say your trying to fly from KBOS to KJFK and your unable to hear liveatc at the time. Do you just get in the “mix” with all the traffic? Will traffic stop for you on taxi ways to let you go or will they collide with your aircraft? Landing as well. Thanks.

Should the default ATC still work ? it does with my plane, but not with the injected planes ?

Sorry about using this medium to ask this question, but it does relate to your video. I purchased and installed these programs and they run beautifully. Thank you so much. I can't seem to find an answer to my question online. Some of my ai liveries aircraft tails are see through. Qantas & Virgin Australia to name a couple. Any thoughts on why? I did see an opacity setting, could that maybe be it? I have no idea otherwise. Any thoughts?

menu for PSXT looks a tiny bit different. did the same steps. not seeing MSFS part or add on airports

Hey PITST :) any interest in getting the Fenix A320 or not really your thing?

The trouble with this is that the AI is shown in the sim but the sims systems (ATC and G1000) are totally unaware of its existence and the AI is totally unaware of us as additional pilots too to some degree. The problems that this causes are obvious. Collision avoidance on the ground is fine but you are basically trying to invisibly slot into a real world simulation of actual flights when trying to approach an airport and land, quite difficult at busy airports.

Question...my packages app is on my D: drive. I typed the location into the box but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Hey there, I just tried installing PSXT (haven't gotten to getting RT yet) and I unzipped the folder, ran the installer, no problems. Then, upon starting the app, it appears to have located my MSFS community folder, but displays an error message stating that it could not find a liveries or airports folder. Is it not automatically searching? I would appreciate any advice on this, as I am very confused and don't get what step I missed.
