Thanks so much for this guide it is very informative. I plan to build my own one of these as soon as I can get a hold of a wisblock. Congrats on 500 subs as well! :D

Your whole channel is a gold mine for Meshtastic. Could I ask you to add a link for the tape you use, it looks much better than the electrical tape I use. Also a link to the .stl for the base board. Can’t wait for the next video.

Thanks for the informative movie.... Can you also explain in the next movie.... how to setup the node.... Hidden or not.... Route client settings or other settings....

So settings best suited for the solar setup.

Again thank you so much 🙏

Thanks for part 2. Nice explanation and easy to follow. I will have to have another look at your antenna video. I have bought a few but have yet to find one that is on the frequency advertised.

Great video, been waiting for this one. Can you please write in the description what boards, solar panels, etc you are using? :)

Fantastic video - would love to hear your real-world experience, when you have it; in terms of battery levels and recharge etc.

I've been told elsewhere that adding more batteries may mean that those small solar panels can't overcome the resistance of the batteries to actually charge the batteries up. Would be good to hear your thoughts on this.

you might want to waterproof those holes, water will creep in (speaking from experience with these boxes)

Is There a charging Controller on the Board?

Nice! Is it worth adding a BMS and a solar charger controller? I'm new to working with batteries and trying to get some lithium 18650s to do something similar. I currently use a flat pack from amazon like the 2000mAh 3.7v makerfocus. I'm trying to figure out if I can just keep using that and connect my usb solar panel to the Rak board or if I want to go over to the lithium 18650 and connect them straight to the board through the jst connector, which will probably require me a solar charger controller and a BMS, right?

Is the solor panel you choose able to keep it running indefinitely? Is there much downtime that you have to wait for the panel to charge the batteries?

you havent listed the solar panel you bought in the parts description.

How many nodes or repeaters will Meshtastic use? I heard it’s only doing three hops, right? Or vanilla a message been forwarded and delivered by 10 nodes (repeater)?
