I like how the hardest part of this run was also the hardest part of real life; socialising... so much to the point where the goal wasn't to talk with people, it was to find a way to get the desired result whilst minimising the time spent actually talking... damn, this is scarily accurate to real life.

And now I'm realizing that a less stressful way to get Crest of the King to activate is to go out of your way to unlock the bad titles as soon as possible then you can cover them up with good titles. Like buying area rugs to cover a spot on a carpet.

That journey to find a way to give those damn townspeople your money was legendary. Easily the highlight of the run, and while it is tragic that you were later thwarted very anticlimactically, I still loved it the whole way through.

It is totally cool to "fail" a challenge. You still overcame roadblocks and managed to have fun with it. It's very interesting to see how you can interact with a game in a non intended way. Awesome content and will be looking forward to more if you have any ideas.

My thought process: "without the nunchuck? The _nunchuck?_ This medieval spinoff game about a spinning blue furry who gets isekai'd into King Arthur's Court not only featured a nunchuck weapon, something commonly associated with martial arts, but _featured it SO prominently that trying to beat the game without it represents so much of a challenge that-_

Challenge runs are about the journey. If it's literally imposible to finish the game under the rules, then the challenge becomes to only break those rules when strictly necessary. You did an amazing work man

I think that this has to be your most painful challenge yet. I let out an audible "Oh no" when you had to start a new save file, I can't imagine the mental pain that caused. Looking forward to your next challenge, but make sure you don't have to start a new save file in the middle of it.
P.S. Fun Fact: Molten Mine's track is a reprise of an old PS1 game's soundtrack called "Black Dawn"

Hot damn, that was definitely a rougher challenge than I was expecting it to be. Congratulations on persevering! This game gets a lot of flak, but it's not nearly as bad as people say it is.

Oh yeah, I have one random suggestion. I personally think that it would be really funny if, when you come across something surprising in a challenge, you insert that voice clip from Egg Viper in SADX where Eggman goes "I can't believe this." I'm honestly amazed that no one does that.

I'm impressed by how far you got without the Nunchuck... As usual in these challenges, you can get a lot further than I would ever expect. Kinda rough that it got blocked so close to the end though. Also...

16:46 Interesting. I never realised that THAT is what blocks the King's Crest. It sometimes randomly stopped working, but never figured out why.
That said, you didn't need to re-do the entire game again. It is possible to re-gain both positive and negative titles, as long as it's not already on the card. So, with 4 positive titles to gain and only 3 titles displayed, you can just keep playing for good titles you don't currently have to shove the bad one out of your records. When playing this game, I always liked to try to keep 3 good titles on there, trying to work off bad titles in this manner after they popped up.

Sonic's sword glows everytime you need to do a perfect hit on king Arthur, while The Dark queen can be beaten in the first phase

As someone who always hits himself with the nunchuck cable every time I swing the sword while playing this game, I approve this challenge.

Just so you know, there's actually 3 ways to tell the timing for the Perfect Hit.
The most common one is 1) The Soul Attack reticle will turn white.
The lesser known ones are 2) your sword will glow, and 3) the soul gauge will turn red and start draining again (this only applies after another Perfect Hit)
The soul gauge tell is the easiest to miss, as it starts draining part way through the perfect hit window, but the sword glow happens at the same time as the reticle colour change.
