Concrete Tables // How To Concrete Tables // Outdoor Furniture … In this video, I tackle concrete tables for the very first time. I really wanted white concrete for the tops of these patio tables to give a nice contrast between the white oak and sapele bases. Concrete Countertop Solutions offered to supply the white concrete countertop mix, pigment and sealer to help accomplish my vision. The result was exactly what I wanted and I’m super pleased with the look and finish of the concrete table tops. Since these concrete tables will live outdoors, I wanted a durable finish with UV protection. Total Boat offered up some of their great products to help as well! For a bombproof finish, the first couple coats of finish would ideally be the TotalBoat Penetrating Epoxy to seal the wood, followed by 4-6 coats of the Gleam 2.0. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on my side as the cold winter temperatures rolled in, so I skipped the epoxy coats and went straight for 4 coats of the Gleam. *(See below for a 15% off coupon code for TotalBoat products)*. Nice job. I just completed a concrete top for my outdoor grill station but used Rapid Set brand mortar mix I purchased at Home Depot. This stuff is amazing. Did 1 1/2 inch pour which required no reinforcement and took it out of the form in one hour.
