The 11k lbs weight of the D4 7U is with the blade. Without it I believe you're closer to 9500lbs.

Love it!   I've got 4 old crawlers myself & enjoyed your video.

you can hear exhaust valve is leaky. Drive sprocket looks warn. New rails? How were the pins? turned? Oil cooler intact?...or bypassed? I grew up running one for years...a 54 7U. Then we put a blade on it...after it was too tired for farming in the 90s. farm pads were not too wide like yours. Used it when I built my house...nice to have that traction and power when boom truck would get stuck in mucky new driveway or cement truck get stuck. Grandfather bought it new...he was 56 in 54...he ran it for years...Dad ran it for years...I ran it for years. Best fun was having a few beers and doing some Midnight deforesting with a buddy riding along...amazing fun. City boys would never know that kind of adventure.

Nice machine, we had a JD 450 that was used for bog and soft ground work, had wide grousers. The only thing you had to watch for was running over a stone or log on the outside, put a lot of strain on the rollers, Like a big lever. Your Cat sounds good I have a Cletrac and D2. Good Video.
