The Courage to Change Course - Bishop T.D. Jakes

Until we ask God for the courage to cut, cast out, and challenge our mistakes, we won’t be able to change course. In Genesis 21, Abraham was living with his mistake and miracle in the same house. He had a crossroad decision to make: Cast Ishmael and the bondwoman out now, or arrive short of destiny. Have you been too worried about the disruption change causes that you never cut loose the people who have delayed your destiny? Somebody always gets hurt in the cutting, but if you don't move, it might end up being you. Don’t rob your destiny of the temporary discomfort of changing course!

In June 2021, I changed course and decided to leave alcohol behind.

Edit: It’s been over 2 years and I haven’t had a single drop of alcohol. 100% sober and never looking back! It’s a great feeling!!

I’m in the midst of my change and it has not been easy. There’s been a lot of tears, lonely nights, but God I’m going to keep pursuing you everyday. I’m going to keep my sobriety, I’m going to keep praying, I’m going to keep getting to know you. The fight with my flesh it hard. But I want to see you perform miracles in my life Jesus. I trust you Lord. I will follow you. Weather I’m on my knees crying or standing tall. Im willing to keep fighting because I know you will only lead me to my victory. Father God be with me ❤️

Don’t be loyal to a bad mistake. Have the courage to change course. When I stopped being loyal to a bad marriage and abusive marriage because pride in being married to an attorney, God gave me the courage to change course and let go. The Lord said to me, “why hold on to less when I’m going to bless you with better. So I let go of bad for what God already had for me. Bless you Bishop. God gave me greater, blessed me and my four children.

I've been stuck in depression, while trying to pursue my PhD. Anxiety has set in as a result from COVID-19, stress at work and now being fired, while on FMLA. I had a guest on my radio show, that was heard by someone, who has a connection to major networks such as OWN, WE TV, and Lifetime. I have the opportunity to negotiate the terms of making my radio show a reality show. I'm so grateful and thankful!

Iv been in an abusive relationship, with manipulation, and he was always so called right. As i kicked him out, weeks later he came by w roses n chocolates. Thn he went bk into a monster, so with help from church, n my therapist, Iv been out of it by taking a new course, Im much happier now without his abuse. I’m 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My baby gets active and worships with me every single time I play this. I’m going to play this on repeat in my delivery room, as I could not think of a better time to worship and praise God.
