In today's video we revisit the ORA Desktop speakers now that they have arrived in white and pink! I have been using this as my work setup for the last year without a subwoofer and have been very pleased with my experience, but in this video we get our hands on a SUB8 from Kanto and see how much of a difference it really makes!

I just got the Ora’s and they are phenomenal speakers. Sound so clean! They look amazing too. Got them on the lower Kanto stands and it’s Chefs kiss

I bought the Kanto ORA4 and SP9 stands because 1) I heard that both speaker models can sound a bit bass heavy 2) the SP9 positions the tweeter close to ear level for a more balanced sound 3) the SP9 positions the woofer farther away from the desktop for less reflection and distortion.

Personally, I wouldn't consider buying the ORA or ORA4 without the SP9 or SP6HD stands for those reasons alone, plus they're more rigid and stable than the S and SE series stands. The sound I'm getting from the ORA4 is warm but well balanced (assuming the source recording is miked well). The SUB8 isn't necessarily for the ORA4 but I'm considering it for cleaner mids and highs along with those action movies that could benefit from it.

I just got mined delivered a few minutes ago and so far I’m digging them. I’m using them as desktop speakers. Worth the price. At this present moment. I have them hooked up to my AirPad 4 via Bluetooth. I can’t wait til February when I’ll be getting my new iMac M4 desktop. Then I’ll hooked them up to my iMac via USB C.

Just a heads up, if you have the subwoofer powered off, but plugged in, it will set the digital balancing as if the subwoofer is on for the 2 Ora's.

I have kanto yu 6 and sub8 in living room, but have office bedroom upstairs next to next door thinner wall. I wan music on desk that doesnt affect neighbours but crisp nice feel, im thinking kanto ora (not ora4) without sub is best and love that can play around with my sub8 optionally or when move house use that for oras. Flex. When you said ' doesnt fill a living room' and heard meant for near fiewld listening I think ora may be way to go. i put a klypse the three plus box and got knocked on wall

I currently have the Audioengine A2+. Looking to upgrade to the Kanto Ora or the Edifier QC65. Have you tried the Edifier or Audioengine?

I’ve wanted to get these speakers for a while now but I’m worried they may lack volume I like a 1 man party every now and then how do you think these oras would be with say a svs sb1000 over the sub 8 ?

Have you been able to check the ORA4? In doubt if the extra money (€ 375 vs € 490) is worth it for my desktop setup or just put the money towards a nice sub.
