Sir, I don't think the Real Real Estate Sector is in trouble, though I would agree that the Urban based Real Estate Sector is in trouble.
There is a huge scope for the Real Estate and Infrastructure development in the Rural sector, but for that to happen these developers have to come out of their cocoon, and should first start with investing in the agriculture sector. If the agriculture sector flourishes, the demand of real estate and infrastructure will be generated in the rural areas.
The workers have migrated back to the villages. It would be better if the developers and builders sees the writing on the wall and shift their shops to the semi urban and rural areas instead of sitting and waiting for the workers to return back

sympathy for labours but very little sympathy for builders. most black money of india is parked here. they were charging 2020 prices in 2008. also nobody takes a loan of 1 crore out of the blue. he has resources for contingency. so he is not in problem at all.

The real estate magnates need to be taught a good lesson. The migrant workers should not return . In fact the state governments should now step in and find ways to employ the workers in their state and give them back their dignity . They are paid a pittance in a slave like work environment. Social security is prime. the real estate agents are lying through their teeth . They should not be compensated by the tax payers money which they are staking a claim for. The home owners should also close ranks and demand what is due to them or move the courts.

Govt shd nationalise the companies owned by Hiranandanis Mantris &Shobhas etc and complete the projects dolingout favours to labour and Home buyers and teach a lesson to the builders.

7.5 lakh must not be given to real estate. Not 1 lakh crore. The builders don't build in time, keep reinvesting on new plots and not completing existing plots. Money taken on time but building not built in time. In the UK building gets build in 6 months- 1 year but in India it takes 5-10 years.

As regards pending housing projects Govt came ^coming forwrd to bear part of labour costcall it Nyay or any.
The contractors have to come down to face reality &reduce prices.Businssmen are talking as.if they are withdrawing from Real estate sector.Let them commit so.

Developers should resort to construction methods as in the middle east and the west. Batching plants for concrete and pumps to convey concrete will reduce the labour . Precast content will all make a difference. This is one side of the equation. I t is a common fact that labour is treated as neo slaves. Labour does not have any safety net . When work stopped there was no compensation, hence the choice for labour was to run home which many did. Did anybody care?
Why would the powers that be and the developer alsu care. They have the perfect excuse as the pandemic is catagorized
as a an event which is unprecedented . This qualifies for some sort of stimulus . The developer will be compensated by hook or crook. The labour will will get nothing . UP has already started placing draconian measures which favours
the business man and not the labour. The labour should start taking measures on their own and not wait for the blood suckers to take over their lives. JAI HIND
