Do these people really think that psychotropic drugs allow you to not feel anything. I find this discussion disturbing in the way mental illness is being portrayed as a person only wanting to escape negative emotions by taking a pill. My son has severe mental illness and was sentenced to prison. He went to Josh Harp in Purcell Oklahoma and was so drugged the entire time, it felt like an Alzheimer's patient was on the other end of phone and when I picked him up, he had dead eyes. 8 hours later was struck by a car from behind launching him out of his shoes. He was on Halidol everyday for 18 months. I suppose he didn't cause trouble to the prison staff this way. His life nor mine will ever be the same now.
