A bright and long-lived meteor came down in the northern skies, visible from at least much of southern Wisconsin. Shout out to Kelly Kizer Whitt and Ryan Rakow on Twitter for letting us know about it!

We saw this in Wisconsin while we were driving North on Highway 41 from Milwaukee to Appleton, right around the Lomira area. It was quite large and glowing green as it descended

I saw this as I was driving North on road a few miles west of Freeport, IL. It was around 6:30 to 6:45. It started out bluish green in color and turned a bright orange right before it exploded. I wonder where it hit?

We saw it from Dault Ste. Marie, Ontario. While watching the Santa Claus Parade; just as Santa was going by. Incredibly magical! Thank you for sharing this video!

That didn’t hit anywhere because it wasn’t a meteor
