I am a 75 year old gay man who has had 5 cats over my lifetime, raised by Eisenhower Republicans and thought no differently until college years and Nixon. Went Democrat after that and then Independent when I moved out of the US 14 years ago. Watched friends and family driven apart by politics over the last 9 years. I'm voting full blue this time. I'm ready for a multicultural woman president who won't trample on my senior and gay rights it took us centuries to acquire!

In all honesty I had voted for the wrong side in 2016 and after all the propaganda and grifter garbage I pumped my own mind with I never thought I would be here, listening and agreeing with you. Glad to be here, and happy to finally put those psychopaths out of my life.

Edit: thank you all for the positive feedback - I was lucky to have a wonderful and patient feminist in my life, and she never gave up on me in spite of the garbage I was participating in and absorbing. The past couple years have been full of reflection on who I had become and how many people I removed from my life so I could support a regime that had me afraid every day that a mob was going to come and kill me for believing MAGA. Cognitive dissonance is what fuels their perspectives and holds the people within mentally imprisoned. I wish there were a way to bring people to the light, even if they remain Conservative or Republican, to see the fascist machine for what it is and how they can turn away and stop it from consuming our country.

I am an 85 year old voter. I ate lunch at a Bergen county diner in Bergen County
NJ. The 20 year old waitress told me proudly that she just registered to vote for Kamala.
Just a little happening but sometimes it is an indication of a first step.
