The point you are missing in your review is that it is not about "using models that you can use for free elsewhere". It is about using those premium models **within** the processing framework that Perplexity has built, which is strictly about answering your questions with a strong attachment to the sources of information.

Under-rated reason to use @perplexity is Llama’s model lacks web search & file upload BUT has a great default tone & tuning. Perplexity handles the internet access & file upload. This makes an excellent combo!

You didn't mention the Spaces (formerly Containers) feature that allows you to create and maintain Threads as a cohesive topical bundle. As you research across different Threads within a Space, Perplexity maintains awareness of information, including documents and queries, in other Threads within the Space. This is like working with a colleague down multiple related tracks to achieve specific goals. For example, a Space for Music Production might have separate but related Threads for Studio, Composition, Performance, etc. Spaces is a much more robust way of maintaining dialog with the AI across related topics.

Pro would be worth it to me. I like the idea of having everything all in one place. I don't want to search all over for an image, and yes I like chat and claude. I could access them in one place also. I like the page feature and yes, it's important to me to be able to index my web site. Thanks for explaining perplexity so clearly.

Good info. The source/citations are key AND the fact there is not a date gap found in ChatGPT and others. Meaning, that Perplexity provides more current information. Also, I don't recall you noting the Spaces feature.

having these diiferent ai models in a single app is already a big deal. pages are set as no index but the content can be published in your own site instead of publishing on perplexity

I am using Perplexity Pro for 2 months and I am pretty happy with it.

I am a software engineer for 25 years, I try different LLMs nowadays and Perplexity is a great choice.

I don't really see a use case for common people. How often do you need to research something very complex or analyze your files (house budget?). I see this more for professionals who research complex topics OR Youtubers that do videos on different topics and want to play experts.

Thanks for a very informative video! I did have to stop watching it while eating lunch in my car because the constant use of the letter 'P', the plosives from your mic were killing my ears. If you don't already include an audio cleanup for plosives in your editing (like in an audio editing interface specifically), I would definitely recommend it!

"Im not sure if X feature is available in both Free and Paid version"

"X might be available in free and available"

"I think you can do this in both"

.. Leaving many things unclear on feature differences.
