The last year for the 400 was 1978 but they made enough to put some in the 79 year model, the 82 had a 305 small block Chevy, and in 80 and 81 the Pontiac 301 was used and some 305 for California.

400 ci was not available in the 82 Trans am. Also not the most famous or even close. 69 first year, 73-4 455 SD not even most famous 3rd gen as that is this 89 Turbo Trans am. Why even post this either you know nothing about Trans?am's or is just click bait.

The '80s were the worst years for muscle cars they were horrible years for any American-made car down on horsepower they fell apart the 80s Trans Ams were ugly they were just junk yeah they have 400s with 180 horsepower LOL
