Tesla Update 2024.14.8 - It's Out now, but what's NEW?

It seems like we've been waiting a long time for a new Tesla update, but finally, we have the brand new Spring update from Tesla with a ton of new features! (It almost feels like a Xmas update!)

The only issue, is that this is missing a lot of features if you have an older Tesla.

You have missed one significant change to the visualization while driving. It’s not in full screen, but at least you can see more.

I’m on the 30 day FSD trial on my 2021 MYLR (Intel). I like the full screen visualization. Is that part of FSD or will it stay when my trial expires?

My model 3 as just been updated to 2024 14 . 9 but could not see anything extra from your video here. I’m using AMD chip.

Is it just America that got the no hands boot lift? Had my 2024 a few months and it's amazing but Wipers are about as good as my 1985 Cavalier!

Finally had the update for my Highlnd yesterday. Feels like many small, but pretty good UI updates so it feels a bit more modern and fresh.

Enjoyed the video! One thing you didn't mention is that despite having the Intel processor, the driving visualisations are still greatly improved. The display now shows many more cars including brake lights and indicators plus cars going past the front of you at T junctions for example. Also, cars in yhe USA with auto park (and Atom processors) do get a downgraded version of the tesla vision view so perhaps this means we'll get that too in due course! 🙂

People shoot high beam at me whenever I use the auto high beam and the car in front of me usually keeps slow speed so I believe it doesn't work very well.

Got my update yesterday on my 2024 model Y. Just before heading to France. You’re right, the Wipers are a pain still. You can cycle through the ‘non auto’ speeds by pressing the button on the stalk.

What would be nice is the ability to have the ‘matrix’ headlights change the beam angle when you select Km/h in the display.

The average speed check zone works well, it picked up a section on the N13 heading south of Cherbourg. As does the chime for speed cameras.

Will report more over the next few days.
