The esteemed manufacturer Lürssen is renowned for producing some of the world’s largest yachts, and one of its latest masterpieces is AliBaba, valued at + $450 million. Although the superyacht hasn’t been delivered yet, it already boasts a fascinating backstory.

Originally, its owner was not Serguéi Brin, but billionaire Leonid Mikhelson, a Russian gas industry magnate with an estimated fortune of $27.4 billion. Due to international sanctions affecting Russian wealth, the completion of Project AliBaba's purchase was halted, allowing Serguéi Brin to step in and acquire the yacht.
