76017 returns to traffic on the Mid Hants Railway - 01/08/16

On the first day of August, BR Standard 4MT No. 76017 would return to traffic on the Mid Hants Railway, following a major overhaul. The 2-6-0 would haul its first revenue earning trains in over 20 years! This is another new addition to the Watercress Line's operational fleet, following the return to steam of LMS Ivatt 2MT No. 41312 earlier this year.
76017 arrived in Hampshire back in 1978, and was returned to working order in 1984, where it would become an MHR stalwart for many years, before being withdrawn from service in 1995.
This video showcases 76017 in action on its first day of service.
