Since no-one is mentioning it: 1st of all, I think it's very courageous of you to show us what your hair looks like without concealer - given the fact that you've undergone (a) hair transplant(s), that must be a source of insecurity, no matter how many people tell you that's it not nearly as bad as you feel.
And 2ndly, man! are you a good-looking chap! Too bad the camera didn't pan down when you were in your bathers ;-)

Great, simple video. I love when HT videos are taken out of perfect lighting and/or scenarios. The world is not a huge lab where everyone is looking at our hair at close up distance.
Derm Match is a great addition to hair fibers. I personally like to use super small amounts to just give density a small bump. After applying, I comb over, spray and then clean excess of the outermost layer of the hairdo so it won’t stain clothes or hands, etc.

I had a hair transplant but prioritized the top of my head and my hairline. I didn't have enough hair from the donor site to cover the crown so I use hair concealer for that as well. With medium length hair and some magic, my hair looks fantastic like Melvin's :)

Derm match WORKS BEST hands down. I have hair loss like yours and I'm 50 yrs old, but I just rub the hockey puck derm match on my hair dry. Wetting derm match doesnt work as good. Dry is so much easier...

Hey Melvin. Thanks for a great vlog. I would be curious to see how sitting in a sauna would affect the Dermatch? The reason I ask is that I take my holiday's in Thailand and the weather is incredibly hot and humid. The same for Northern Australia (I'm an Aussie). I'm just wondering how it would hold when the water (via perspiration) comes from the body temperature causing extreme sweat from the inside as opposed to coming externally. Thanks for sharing man!

Hey mate, i watched a video of your’s recently where you tested a hair fibre with bed head hair spray and put your head under the tap. I ordered toppik fibres and bed head hair spray. Your honest advise if it rains would would fibres with hair spray be ok?

Hey Melvin, , Is that all there is to using fibres? Is it really that easy or have you just got it down to a science ? I’ve always been wary of fibres only because some of the videos I watched of people using them made it look really high maintenance and time consuming, but if they’re that easy to use then I see no reason not to use them.

I’ve been mulling over getting a transplant for a few years now and it’s been quite stressful. I’m a NW3 at 24 years old and showing signs of progressing to at least a NW 4-5 if I don’t get back on Finasteride. To boot I also have Retrograde alopecia on my sideburns and temple points and I’m debating if I want to address it if I get a transplant .

I want more density on my sides if possible as it would enhance the results, but I don’t want to go overboard and use up donor hair that could be needed if my hair loss continues in future. It’s a tricky position to be in. However if stuff like toppik isn’t time consuming and easy to use then I think I’d feel comfortable moving forward with surgery. If the worst case scenario happens and Finasteride doesn’t help me maintain I could always use fibres to cover my crown.

I had a consultation with a surgeon about a month. He quoted me for 2000 grafts via FUT for 7000$. He said to take as much time as I need to think things over. Do you think I should go through with it?
