Not so fun fact: Even though the original island of Krakatoa was destroyed in the 1883 erup tion, a smaller volcano called ”Anak Krakatoa (Child of Krakatoa) " still exists and is still active to this day. It actually caused a tsunami back in 2018 that hit the Indonesian province of Banten killing hundreds of people.
