We Tried A Whole Fried Pig's Head

At the Recess Room in Fountain Valley, CA you can order a pig's head served ssam style. The meal comes on a platter with lettuce, roti, pickled veggies, and kimchi sauce. Before frying the pig head, the restaurant brines it in a mixture of soy sauce and garlic.

I have seen a fair amount of gore, so this doesn't unnerve me; but its just the eyes of that pig that's so unsettling. They seem alive, almost as if they're are judging you. Welp there goes my peaceful sleep tonight!

You guys saying it's cruel. Well it's more cruel to waste parts of it if the reason you killed it was to eat it isn't it? Logic guys logic. Yet it's not cruel to eat it's belly? But it is to eat the head? And I believe you guys are older then me. Isn't tossing out its unneeded body parts disrespectful? Or how would feeding it to dogs be any better? Well meat is meat. Well eating your bacon isn't different then eating any other part of it. Those comments are so annoying... guys this is so hypocritical of you to feel so uncomfortable when you are facing what you're eating: an animal. If you eat the head or the foot it's still an animal so fealing that bad when you see its face means that you don't even remember what is in our everyday plates

Personally, I also am a bit grossed out by this, but the thing is, what else are they going to do with the rest of the pig? Chuck it in the garbage? I think it's better that the rest is used again and hell, if someone is willing to eat this, then it's still better than to chuck it away.

Boil head. Get a 500g sour kraut jar marco polo, one cup of arabica rice . Now put rice and kraut in large oven pan add one tbsp hungarian parika powder mix together in pan then take boild head and place in middle of pan with rice and kraut mix rice kraut out evenly under head now pour water from heads stock into the pan about 20mm higher over the rice and place in oven until the water is all gone the head should now be brown and crisp and rice cooked oven on about 180c takes about 40min in oven
