As a polytheist, none of his points apply or disprove anything. Most of the arguments given were created by polytheists in the past or are addressed by them. Such hubris!

WLC just is not versed on debating polytheists. Almost none of the arguments he listed work against polytheism. In fact, many of them were, when you go back far enough, the arguments used by polytheists. His answer just won't actually do anything to contribute to the debate, but this is just because it is, ultimately, territory outside of his norm. WLC spends his time debating with atheists, and so is unfamiliar with the polytheists arguments and their views.

Please do more videos on how to talk with Hindus and eastern religions. I have a good Hindu friend, but it's hard to break down his beliefs.

I can tell you, as an American polytheist, if you come to me with any argument that your god is the only god, I automatically shut down your arguments. Because I can relate anything you claim to be of your god to countless other gods, and be just as logically accurate. The Bible can be easily picked apart with basic logical arguments. Polytheism cannot....

I can recommend Dr Michael Heiser on the Divine Council Worldview for this question.

Every theistic argument that is worth using works just as well (if not better) for polytheism

Heh most polytheists do believe in a transcendent reality beyond just natural phenomena and the gods don’t just exist as a means to explain them. Being really good at the arguments for theism just generally support polytheism as well cuz they were invented originally by polytheists, so yeah you’re not gonna shake a polytheist into believing your faith by harping on polytheistic arguments

Wait, how does it make sense to make arguments for design on polytheists when they already agree with that? That makes no sense

How do the tools that Bill listed argue against a pantheon instead of a single-ish deity?

In my experience Christians where way worse at arguing with me in my short time as a polytheist. I think they just don't expect it. Growing up Christian i always knew there where athiests and agnostics but i was under the impression that polytheism except Hinduism was dead and no one believed in Thor, Zeus or any of the varying cosmologies and i think thats fairly common. So they ran into a southern looking and sounding individual that says he's not Christian and of course they think athiest, but no, oh no. Most of the argumentation from people that where remotely prepared to argue with my beliefs at the time where athiests so im interested to see Christians take it on.

I might be a bit simple, but I would bee-line to the resurrection of Jesus, and give that as a reason to believe what Jesus taught.

He taught that only the God of Israel is the True God and other gods are false gods.
He claimed equality with the One True God.

And all this proven true in His Resurrection.

Polytheism is on the rise. I know of many polytheists who are around my age 18-24

What do you say to polytheists who believe in one central God or source that these arguments could also point towards as well?
