Celebrating our Deaf Son's 2nd Hearing Birthday in Hawaii!!!
Today is our Severe to Profoundly Deaf son's hearing birthday. It is his hearing birthday because 2 years ago today is when his bilateral cochlear implants got activated and he heard sound for the first time. He has made so much progress these past two years and we are so proud. He has had countless speech therapy sessions to get to where he is now and we still have a long way to go. We believe in him so much and know he will have total communication. We are so happy that our son Neo's hearing loss journey has helped so many people in similar situations to us. We love that he could be a light for so many people hearing and Deaf. This hearing birthday he will never forget because we got to celebrate it at Aulani Disney Resort and Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu.

I'm in tears. As someone who suffers from a neurological disorder and having overcome so many difficulties due to GOD being in my life, I commend Neo. Having a supportive family is important, but the attitude he has is a true blessing. Children with siblings without this disability often wonder why them
Although I don't know his inner thoughts, but the joy I see in him warms my heart. I hope that he goes forth and does great things. I am now a 1st yr md student working with children with neurological issues. I pray that he takes his experience and helps the world, too. PRAISE BE TO MY LORD ❤
