For anyone doubting the halal of these foods.. please reconsider the fact that indonesia has a very strict regulation regarding halal foods. There was once a visitor eating in a halal restaurant while bringing their own fried pig skin, in the end the restaurant had to throw all of the dishes being used that day to avoid cross contamination and to keep their halal label.. so, i think it's fine to eat any halal labeled food in indonesia

Chinese food in Jakarta 🤤, it's halal it's not containing alcohol, pork, lard, and you can rest assured the procedure is halal too, bcs the process to getting the halal certificate is strict

no pork and no lard but make sure they dont use cooking wine as well because pork free doesnt always means its halal... but great video anyway ❤

Actually a lot of restaurants in Jakarta serve pork dishes, for both Asian and Western cuisine, in malls and stand-alone restos.

And the malls are full of booze shops. This is especially true in areas with higher Chinese-Indonesian and expat population.

No pork, no lard is definitely not always can be an halal food.

For another example, Sangciu, Mirin, and other things in not allowed because it's come from Alcohol.

Halal is not merely about pork or no pork. This can be misleading since there are many indicators of halal; the type of meat, the slaughter, the sauce, etc. Not to mention if the restaurant provides alcohol beverages.No pork, no lard is not definitely halal. I think we can be wiser to use the label 'halal' in the future :)
