The hardest thing I find about cycling is getting out for those all day epics and not feeling guilty when the rest of your family isn’t a cyclist like you and youre leaving them at home.

The hardest thing about being a road cyclist is being on the road with other road users. There are many irresponsible car drivers that put you in danger for their own amusement.

I'll take hills over headwinds any day of the week. Also, vehicles. Drivers in North America aren't used to bicycles, especially in colder climates. The roads are wider than in Europe and drivers get in the habit of always being able to pass, even when it is unsafe; it's terrifying.

Headwinds on the loong looong flats. Realising on a cycle tour you're going against the prevailing winds for the next 500 km or so.

The hardest thing for me is elitism. Like I just wanna ride far away but other cyclists points out your power, my claris groupset and my jersey.. like? I just enjoy cycling please forgive me if I'm not as good as you or I'm not as rich as you.

I was going to mention headwinds, but others already have that covered, so I'll list the thing I am most vigilant about while riding in below freezing weather, which is of course all that frozen water, aka _ice_

Now that I think about it, during warmer times, one of the things I hate about cycling is the bugs. They leave a bad taste in my mouth. Literally. Especially when they go straight down the throat. Bees in my helmet vents aren't fun either...

The hardest thing about cycling for me is finding the time…. There’s always something else that needs to be done HOWEVER, I enjoy every minute when I do get out there, with the wind in my face!

The hardest part about road cycling is cleaning the entire bike. It's so time consuming.

Omg yes the cost. I recently upgraded my bike. Spent more overall then $900 to make "kitt" what I wanted her to be. Thanks guys I truly enjoy GCN.

Bored of same routes I guess. Some of us don't have much opportunities to travel far distance finding aesthetic places to ride. So we have limited routes, just around our town or some hills around we live, trust me it's boring sometimes.

I’m 70 years old, and I have a 8 year old son. He’s heading toward greatness in cycling. Last year he did a 17 mile and an 18 mile ride with me. The hardest thing will be when I can no longer keep up with him. I know it will happen someday. Until then, I will savor every mile we ride together.
