Today, I want to share with you a beautiful shabad from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, written by Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of the Sikhs, in Raag Tilang. The shabad is Reham Teri Sukh Paiya, which means “By Your Mercy, I have found peace”.

This shabad expresses the gratitude and devotion of a Sikh towards the Merciful Lord, who is the Creator and Sustainer of all beings. The shabad praises the Lord’s qualities, such as His power, His carefree nature, His inexpressible and imperceptible form, and His Name, which is the source of bliss and liberation for those who have faith in Him.

The shabad also urges us to meditate on the Lord as long as we have breath in our bodies, and to surrender our soul and body to Him as His capital. The shabad ends with a humble prayer of Nanak, asking for the Lord’s Mercy to grant him peace.
