Germany's companies, especially car manufacturers, exported their technology to China, the latter exported their cheap cars to compete with Germany's cars. I've never seen such stupid business strategy in my whole life.

Germany was warned about not relying on Russia, but it chose to disregard and believe a different reality. A lot of this is self-inflicted.

Our economy is facing challenges due to uncertainties, housing problems, foreclosures, global fluctuations, and the lingering effects of the pandemic, leading to instability. The rising inflation, slow growth, and trade disruptions require immediate action from all sectors to restore stability and promote economic recovery.

4:27 Gaslighting as usual. Russia, did not cut gas. Europe cut Russian gas in solidarity of Ukraine and proudly declaring the new era of energy independence from Russia. The EU was even celebrating when America and Ukraine blew up Nord Stream. But hey, whatever fits your narrative I guess. 😅

There are some obstacles that can deter a country's progress or even stall it from becoming an advanced economy even if it has good governance. These obstacles are beyond the control of the government. They include.

1. Frequent natural disasters

2. Unfavorable terrain eg. being too hilly or densely forested

3. Lack of natural resources, especially water and arable and habitable land

4. Being landlocked

5. Being surrounded by poor and unstable neighboring countries

6. Being too remote

7. Being too small in size

8. Crappy climate eg. being too hot, tropical or cold

9. Effects of global warming

10. Invasive plants, animals and insects

Contrary to the belief of some classical economists, it's actually not possible for every country to become an advanced economy just like it's not possible for every person within an economy to be a millionaire.

When R cut off gas?? Can you not be honest? The lasting problem came when Ukraine/USA blew up the pipeline. That was what destroyed G's capacity to produce at completive prices. G looks seriously fucked

the world wants Germany to fall so bad, they overexagerate a lot, forget GDP growth it is meaningless on its own, most countries who are growing more than Germany have significantly worse economies to begin with, and they are fueling their economies with debt which Germany refuses to do for whatever reasons. Germany is not going anywhere, Volkswagens issue is rather that it sells too many lower end cars for higher prices than the market, and it just has to start moving plants to lower cost countries and produce there. The German economy is transitioning from a manufcaturing based economy to something else, a step that Germany should probably have done long ago.

In this very highly connected world, if the country doing bad economically is not about internal issues but also the world changing, I believe the most important factor for German deindustrialization is the increasing of global competition you have in one side China with massive population on the other hand US which is highly subsidising its companies

No it can’t every global economy except the United States of America is dying

Internal consumption will be a progressively bigger problem as people are forced to pay higher and higher rents instead of funding companies or investing otherwise.

No more cheap energy from Russia, no more cheap labour in Poland. Back home heavy bureaucracy and unions. Technology is also lagging behind, from EVs to AI.

In general this is a good video, it analyzes thoroughly the issues of the German economy and I liked the fact that you made it clear that it had problems even before the Russo-Ukrainian War (most western orianted channels forget to mention that) . BUT. When you say that "Russia closed off it's energy supply to Europe" or "China closes off it's national economy', "China aggressively promotes it's own brands" you forget to mention that the US is trying for a decade now to force the EU to stop getting it's energy supply from Russia, something that was achieved by the Russo-Ukrainian war, that was, and still is, orchestrated by the US and NATO. Now returning to China, did you forget the "Trade War" against China that was launched from Trump? The US tariffs on chinese products? So you see it's the US that is destroying the economic relationships between NATO and Russia-China. And one last thing? You make it sound that the fact that Chinai s promoting it's own brands is a bad thing...Isn't what a Capitalist Country supposed to do? The US and Germany, don't they promote their national brands in the same way?
