“Emily” Interview with Writer/Director Frances O’Connor

I adore wtiter/director/actress Frances O’Connor. Besides a fantastic actress in films like “Mansfield Park,” “A.I. Artificial Intelligence,” and “The Importance of Being Earnest,” O’Connor is now embarking behind the camera making her feature film debut with “Emily.” And what a brilliant debut! The film is haunting, meditative, and entertaining to boot!

I spent some time with the filmmaker to talk about the making of “Emily,” Emma Mackey, and why she focused on Emily among the Brontë sisters.
