Supposing there was a country with a stable population of 80 million people.
They had a life expectancy of 80 years with the age groups evenly
distributed through the population. The life expectancy in this country was to be reduced to 79 years over four years by a disease which targeted the elderly.

WHO allows all these events to happen around the world? Is this the best that can be done? How many people died around 1918 from the Spanish flu? Not that is was made in Spain, but they were about 210 million people!
