Caught on camera: Bear sneaks up behind child in Aspen yard

A child was having a snack in a backyard in Aspen on Saturday when a black bear came up behind him. Rachel Saurer spoke with the parents about how they scared the bear off.

The bear did not 'sneak up' on a 'child'. It followed the smell of food and ran when it realized a human was attached. Learn some journalism, part of which should include 'don't falsely sensationalize for clicks'.

Glad they saw the bear in time! Can u imagine having that as your backyard? If u build in the woods…your gonna have wild animals. Need to watch out and be more aware!

Big freaking deal. Bears have been denizens of that area for thousands of years and that kettle corn sure smelled good to the bear. The bear apparently was not doing anything a bear shouldn't.
