ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

Be prepared though. If it's a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

The way you explain things is top notch. Loved the part how you said most people don't have that flexibility to create the depth in backswing. Even the younger players dont at times and this is what makes you r teaching realistic. Thank you so much

Hello Mr. Maude!

Tom here, some very ambitioned golfer from german.
I want to use this new upload to express my imeasurable gratitude towards your work.
I was stuck in the handicap range of about Hcp 10, I practice 2-4 hours every Day on the range, hit about 200-500 balls everyday but just could not make any progression anymore. I was hitting my 7 Iron about 160 yards and my driver about 250.
I tried lots of hours with pros, a lot of Youtube university but literally nothing helped. I was right at the edge of quitting... Until I came across one of your videos (Uploaded two months ago).
I immediatly connected with your way of describing the feel and the motion of the golfswing.
What really grinded into my mind was your phrase "Down, and arround, down and arround". So I went to the range and tried it!
Literally all I did was focusing on "Down and arround". And what should I say? It literally changed everything!
Every shot now gets completely straigh, perfect contact every time, perfect divot. "Down and arround".
My body is now able to deliver all its power (Im quite strong, 1, 90m tall, 100kg heavy) and now my 7 Iron goes 180 yards, the driver 290-300!
I went from shooting like 10 to 15 over across 18 holes to shooting par or even 1 to 3 UNDER!! IN JUST ONE WEEK!!!

You literally changed everything. Massive thanks, I will now start to watch every Video of you.
Wish I could do more to acnowledge and thank you for what you did to me!

Kind regards
A very happy Tom

Danny I absolutely love your videos. I have learned more about golf and made more progress in my game in the past month than I did in 20 years. One thing I love about your videos is how easy it is to take what you are teaching to the range to work on it the right way. It is amazing how far you hit the ball with such an effortless swing. One thing I struggle with is not moving up and down with my head during the golf swing. It would be very helpful if you did a video on how to keep your posture and not drop down when you are swinging. Hopefully I am making sense. Thanks!

Love my Hackmotion device. Just upgraded to the new model. Hips have to be significantly turned at impact, just like the pros or any skilled hitters. Hips turned allowed wrist to remain bowed, with club lag and shaft lean. It all went together. Hips facing the ball on impact, or turning insufficiently simply didn't allow for those things to happen. Hackmotion is what finally helped me figure that out.

I’am 77 years old, 13 handicap, and have been playing 50 years. Yesterday I lost my swing including the shanks. I watched this video and put a card inside my glove as you described. It worked, hitting 25 balls with 2 or 3 bad shots, I’ve got my swing back. I’ll probably use the card for the next few rounds(not tournament related). Thanks Steve

I hope you know after my first two years of golf and hundreds of hours of videos, lessons, and range sessions, you just made the greatest adjustment in my swing yet.

This video should have 1, 000+ positive comments. I haven't read all the comments but this concept 100% spot on. This addresses so many "issues" for me. By "bowing" the lead wrist, my trail hand is gently forced backwards into that "waiter carrying a tray" position. It helps prevent the club face crossing over the plane at the top of the takeaway, which helps keep the club on plane on the downswing, and of course, as you stated, gets the club face back square at impact. Without a club, just interlock your fingers and experiment with cupping and bowing your lead wrist. Sorry for being so verbose, but this was/is a lightbulb moment for me! Great video, happy I am subscribed.

I have learnt to flatten my left wrist this year and it has made such a difference to the way I strike the ball and my handicap has now dropped. Love the credit card drill, you can really feel it digging in if you get it wrong. Thanks Danny for another great video.

This tip is critical to great ball striking. You might disagree with me Danny, but I don't think you can actually be too laid off at the top. When I was struggling the most, I was breaking my wrist just like you depicted. My best ball striking this summer has been a wrist set at the top. Staying connected with my body also helps. Thank you for reinforcing my "feel".

I'm checking in from Tucson, AZ, USA. I watched your video this morning, and it really clicked with me. I just finished 18 holes and hit every club in my bag better than I have in a long while. The wrist position at the top of the back swing was the key. I had better contact and ball flight—thanks!

Great observation Danny. Certainly helpful in considering the hinge of the wrist in the backswing and avoiding the cupping motion. Thank you. Dom

I swear to god you must be reading my mind or have a camera in my house, every time you release a new video it’s like exactly what I’m in the middle of working on. Got myself a nice sunburn today working with the HackMotion in my hitting cage on the exact drill you were showing !!

Nothing beats a late Saturday night cramming in some awesome tidbits from another ripper of a video from Danny Maude. Loving the content mate!

This is a great lesson. Extending the lead wrist at the top of the backswing makes it feel like it is increasing radial deviation 👍 but what is actually does is rotate hand and club around the thumbs opening the face.

Hitting down to make a ball go up is counter-intuitive. I find practice whacking weeds in the yard with my 7i really help getting the feeling of whacking down into the ball because there isn’t any ball you are trying to get up into the air. 😊

Extraordinary Danny how your latest video always covers what I am working on at the time! For example I only recently discovered how good it felt at the top to cock my wrists and have the face of the club point downwards. Just as I am patting myself on the back you come along and say that's all wrong. I will try it out tomorrow. Many thanks.

I’ve watched 100s of videos but this has been the only clear one.. I got a lesson a year ago and this was what the coach had taught me but I forgot it and lost the muscle memory over time and have been getting frustrated. This video just made my brain click back on again so Hopefullly I can go beat my pops this morning after practicing this pre round today! Amazing tutorial Danny!
