Good info but many fakes will have all of the markings. The best way is to take your questionable sunglasses into an authorized seller like Sunglass Hut. Sometimes the fakes are very good visually but you’ll be able to feel the differences. That’s your biggest giveaway. Fakes will feel more like cheap bargain store sunglasses in disguise. They may creak when you clean them with a cloth and flex more than they should. Also closely inspect the frame edges. Fakes often have rough finishes that you can only spot if you zoom in, use a loupe or feel with your hands. You’ll know it when you see it. Hinges: fakes often use inferior hinges that may grind, squeak or make a click when used. Again, compare with an authentic pair and it will become obvious. Lenses: fakes will often etch and have the stickers saying it’s crystal glass, etc.. when it’s actually plastic. Test this by tapping them with a fingernail, feel how they absorb cold temps, and also see if any swirl scratches show up when cleaned. Sadly many people get scammed and think they just got a good deal. Always take every precaution available when purchasing items that are commonly faked. (Sunglasses, watches, jewelry, bags, fragrances, etc) be observant! cheers!

I have about 4 or 5 pairs of Persol eye and sunglasses. My first pair are definitely real. I bought them from a reputable optamologist office. I have 3 sets of Film Noir editions. On the regular hinged models that I have, I had read somewhere that the arrow hinges should not have any radius to them and be flat. I may have read or taken that incorrectly. I'm pretty sure that my Film Noir pairs are legit but I suspect that one of my other pair might be suspect as it has a slight radius from top to bottom of the arrow hinge, similar to the real one in your video. Two of my frames have hinges that are flat as an iron. It seems that the ones that I have seen that I suspect that have that slight radius, all have polished or chrome hinges whereas the satin finish hinges are all truly flat. Any input on that? I've seen SO many with that slight radius at all sorts of sellers. Thank you for your time.

Those look like $10 shades. Not persols.

The most obvious indicator to know original Persol is meflecto stem system; it's a very difficult, and even impossible feature to be duplicated
