I will say the sending money back to home is definitely a cultural thing amongst immigrant families, HOWEVER, not to this extent at all!! It’s not common, and in fact is shameful, to be begging for money like this. I have family that sends money back home to other family members but they aren’t begging and accept what they can get bc they know that times indeed are rough up here in the US too. Calling it a cultural thing is not what it is :/ she’s just straight up greedy & Tammy doesn’t want to take ownership either!
