As soon as they entered the "Groode Hus" on the evening of December 9, 2022, the numerous visitors quickly realized that something magical was happening that evening. Almost 100 flying candles adorned the ceiling of the lovingly decorated concert room and spread a special, magical atmosphere, because the evening was all about "The Magic of Christmas". In addition to the film music from "Harry Potter", the second orchestra, conducted by Sebastian Truffel, also had popular Christmas and festive melodies in their repertoire.
The second orchestra of the AVW is a project orchestra, which is re-formed every year at Christmas. In this way, new players or those who cannot make it to rehearsals every week all year round have the opportunity to get the accordion out again for a few months of the year and pursue this beautiful hobby. In addition, the 2nd orchestra also integrated the young players and young accordion students into its ranks.

The concert opened with the Christmas sounds from Harry Potter under the music title "Christmas at Hogwarts". With this magical film music, John Williams, for example, accompanied Harry's first Christmas at the School of Magic, in which he was given his invisibility cloak. But even the first snow and Hagrid setting up the Christmas tree only get the right Christmas spirit with this melody.
