The drum timing change that Charlie Watts does at the beginning of the song is subtle but powerful. Sometimes, the simplest things are indeed the best.

My favorite song by the Stones. Thank you for reacting to this, brings back memories. Good Times. A lot of people miss what he says at the end.

I think it was Bill Wyman who said, years ago, that him and Charlie Watts would often laugh at Mick Jaggers antics. 😁

The Stones first hit in the 80s. What a way to herald in the new decade.

Bill and Charlie, the grown ups, exchanging amused glances over the antics of the children....
Priceless!😂😂😂

You should go listen to the end again. "You make a dead man come". Yeah, he actually says that to close it out.
Yeah it was a pretty big song for them. Keith is the lead guitar and song writer with Jagger. Charlie, may he RIP, is the drumer.
As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.

Charlie said in the early 2000's that he's been embarrassed since 1963. Lol

I've always loved this video. First of all, it's just a great song! But I absolutely love how loaded and glassy eyed each one of them look. It makes me want to get in a time machine and join them haha

Originally intended to be a reggae tune. Keith got made after take after take and picked up his guitar and hit it like a rock song. Ended up in the can before it was fine for the 1981 Tattoo You album

This song was HUGE in a way that's hard to describe - I still offer that their greatest groove was their song SLAVE - SO FUNKY

This song was used on the very first Microsoft commercial introducing Windows 95. Apparently the Stones got $14 million for, it’s use

The stones live performances (especially Jaggers gyrations), established a standard that became a caricature of rock bands for decades.

Love it - great tune and great memories. For the ultimate Stones experience listen to 'Midnight Rambler' - they don't come any more hardcore than this - the guitar riffs and sinister vocals will give you chills.

You really did talk over the 'You make a dead man come' line at the end!

If you hadn’t heard this before then you probably weren’t alive or aware in 1995 when Microsoft used this song for the release of windows 95.

This was the first Stones song I really LOVED. The sound to me is joyful abandon.

This is one of my favorite Stones songs. Another favorite is Honky Tonk Women. Anyway, I like y’all’s background. KISS has always been one of my favorite bands, and I had that Def Leppard poster when I was like 10 years old.

This was a heavy song back in that time period. Classic tune which holds up over time.
