First, thank you for helping others, it is appreciated. That said, I have a blue screen on my HP Pavilion laptop. I did an HP disc test and all passed. I did a Diskpart test and all disc were fine. Did /scannow, dskchck, and hard reset (remove battery test) too. But it keeps coming up with a blue screen. Still a bad system or is this an easy fix? I am a layman computer guy btw :). Thnaks, Mark

My problem is the fact that while I'm working with my system. it suddenly brings up a blue screen and causes the system to restart and I'm not sure why

with the F9 option, I got onto a page saying "Boot Manager" at the top, and it asks me to choose from 2 options.
1. OS boot Manager (UEFI) - Windows Boot Manager (ST500LM030-1RK17D)
2. Boot From EFI File
Please help.

Factory Reset Option -

What happened when I did the clean factory reset was it gave me an error saying no changes were made.

Hi Guys, nice video thanks for it. My HP laptop has gone into a plain blue screen mode after starting up for 5-7 mins. When i did shut down and reboot using power button it took a lot of time for startup sequence. Then it froze at the blue screen. Any ideas what to do here?

I am never buying HP again. Bought one for me and my wife (Envy x360). Both are garbage, crash all the time.

I'm going through all the answers as I too have the "blue screen" problem. I had tried various remedies, most of which you suggested but no luck. I too am a layman and try to keep it really simple, but.. of course to do any of these fixes of course you need to have a SECOND DEVICE- in my case, my iphone to carry the instructions, without which if course, I'd be totally lost! All I can do is carry on endlessly trying to fix it but..I'm as interested in the fact this is happening to HP machines and wonder, is there anything about those machines that after two years, with no apparent actions from me, and because it's so confoundingly impossible to fix, will likely result in me having to replace the machine (NOT with HP next time..!!). Do you have any explanation as to WHY they are doing this and what causes it?

Hello my blue screen says - "your device ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info.... "
I know nothing about computers... Should I reset my device or wipe everything?
