One thing I love about this channel is that it doesn't have a lot of pointless drag races like some other channels do.

i just bought a tiggo 7 pro max ...very smooth drive. i only have 500 kilometers on the dash, but has all the needed safety features and more. a lot of space and comfortable drive. Coming from a sedan, its a very different driving experience. Im very happy with my purchase.

Great honest review. It is so disappointing when you have a small engine and a high fuel bill - you feel you may as well be tootling around in a V8. I recommended this car to my sister based on your review. She purchased it and loves it. Same $$$$ for a 7y.o fleet Corolla with 6 months warranty. Like a model T of years gone by, it is great to see cars for the masses that are stylish, have long warranties, good safety credentials and lots of creature comforts. Hopefully these budget brands also put in the effort for parts supply and dealer support.

For a modern small car, that fuel consumption is horrendous. You’re averaging 10.6 L / 100 in urban environments and 8 on the open road.

Had mine for about 3 months now and can't really complain about much, yes the safety symptoms can be a pain but you get use to them. All up I've been surprised how much I enjoy it. Also it has to be Australia's best value car for the price.

Fuel consumption is a normal occurrence for vehicles when they leave the factory with 5W-40 oil. After the first oil change, you should notice improvement. The manual recommends switching to 5W-30 after the fourth oil change, which should reduce fuel consumption to under 10 liters per 100 km. At least, this has been the experience in Russia with the Tiggo 7 Pro owned by my close friend.

Yep bought this car through car sauce buy through your recommendation for $25, 300.

Honestly, this has been a GREAT experience love driving this car and it has been fantastic. Overall would recommend this to anyone I know as it has amazing features for the price.
-And recently found out how good the cameras are, in comparison to other cars released in the last 18months.

Have almost all the same exact issues as you with the car.

1. Fuel Economy, currently sitting at 10.2L for the 2, 700 i have put it in thus far.
- Which is odd, as the per trip eco never goes more than 8.5L while the A/C is off & 9.5L while on. So unsure how it is calculating the overall economy.
-Planning to reset it after the next service at 15, 000kms, to check if the numbers are the same for the next 15, 000kms (unless someone suggests otherwise)
-But since coming from a car that did 13.2 and needed 95/98 fuel, still quite happy.

2. The range is bloody lying bastard indeed!! On a full tank it advises 700-720km of range while it actually gets 470-500kms.
- I have been tracking each full tank, and how many kms my car has done since I purchased it for ‘fun’ (I like spreadsheets, sue me).
- I suspect you are right with it being tied to the “Dynamic Range”, as it is definitely not the actual range.

3. Air Conditioning, dropping out when accelerating is not something I have experienced at all, so that is unique.
- However, I have really driven in Economy Mode, so that may have something to do with it.

4. Lane Centering, is pretty bad in my opinion even if I give it a chance, it has not worked outside straight lines for me, even on minor curves.
- 100% does tug the steering away from you like you showed and is the worst feeling.
- Unfortunately, I have found no way to permanently turn this off and needs to be done turned off manually on each start.

(Please let me know if there is a way).

5. Recall, looks like purchase mine after the recall, as I did not need to go in.
- However, the AEB has ‘randomly’ triggered in situations that I would personally would not imminent (i.e I’m slowly taking a corner and a car is in its driveway not reversing but close to the road near the curb and it brakes)
- I think this needs to be retuned, as it could cause an accident.

6. The Horn…. Yes it is pretty shit….

7. Autobahn Mode, haha yeah I didnt know what the symbol was till now.
- I did however notice it come up when it didnt read the speed zone correctly in the same places.
- I assumed it was a ‘could not recognise zone’ symbol.

8. Apple Car Play, can confirm unless you are wired in it will drop out on you, annoyingly too.
- As when it fails to connect it will transfer to bluetooth and then, reconnect to Car Play and disconnect and reconnect to Car play.
- Happens to both my wife and I on iPhone 12 and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
- Hope a system update fixes it.

9.Shitty Giti’s, i do t driven aggressively so I dont really notice the tyres being bad. But when wet, i can ‘notice’ them if that makes sense.

But it is easy to pick on all the bad things and overlook the good things about the car, will be happily driving it for the next 7-10 years.

Here in Mexico we are about to get the new redesign of the Tiggo 4 Pro (with the nicer back) this year.

The fuel economy seems to be getting better over time on these cars. I started getting 10L/100km on the city and now I'm sitting on 8.4L/100. I'm not sure how things goes in Australia, but here in Mexico this is alright, specially for a turbo SUV.

I don't own a Cherry but I used Carsauce buy after watching your video when you purchased this car. Amazing service! And I got a $5000 discount for a fully optioned brand new in stock (not demo) Polo GTI which when i was negotiating with VW dealers, they we're only giving me $1500 off the MSRP. Motorscout even made sure I get the best trade-in car trade-in value for my 9 year 9th gen series II Civic hatchback.

That fuel consumption is horrendous for a modern car, I recently bought a small performance hatch as mentioned above and I'm getting 7.8L/100kms driving in combined normal and sports mode on that car. Even the 9 year old Civic which the GTI replaced was getting 7.5L/100kms.

Thanks for the review
I would like to request to add a couple of reviews about parts cost for cheap cars.
Parts are more expensive than other mid range other cars.

Big thing with the stupid safety assists is in cheryies you can turn most off, and reduce response in some. And the setting changes don’t drop on restarts.

I actually hated the look of the Tiggo 4 Pro at first, but it grew on me over time and after looking at hours and hours of reviews I would actually consider buying one. Still don't like the bum, but the Tiggo Cross has a better looking bum, hope they change all of them. I'm in South Africa, saw the Cross for the first time in the flesh this week and I really love the look. Great reviews guys.

The body roll, the poor AC, the high fuel consumption, the loud road noise, the failing sun roof, the noisy revving engine... anything else? The extra money required for the fuel alone pushes the smart buyer into the Skoda option..and the resale on the Skoda option would be much higher.

In South Africa we also get the Tiggo 4 Pro with the ugly rear end - But they have just launched the Tiggo Cross and that looks stellar

I have my Tiggo 5x Pro Hybrid (Tiggo 4 Pro in the PH) for almost 6 months and the only complaint I had was the stock horn being too soft. Love the ride and everyone who rode and saw my car was genuinely shocked how good of a Chinese car this is. Some of them were car enthusiasts too

The mileage out my tiggo7 with the 1.6 T. and DCT. 8.3 urban not using stop/start function, 6.5 at freeway speeds.
