White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre briefed reporters Wednesday as the administration continued to assuage the blowback from President Biden's Tuesday night remarks where he appeared to call former President Donald Trump's supporters "garbage." Mr. Biden made the remark while discussing a comedian's joke about Puerto Rico at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday. The White House says the president was referring to the comedian's rhetoric.
