Another installment in my "new exercises" series. In this video I wanted to highlight probably the most requested exercise on a Total Gym (or other sliding bench trainer) and that's the Nordic curl. Once againt the Total Gym doesn't dissapoint, with a few adjustments you can perform this exercise with great quality on the machine.

The Nordic curl has gotten popular again lately due to the "knees over toes guy" and his program to bulletproof the knees. If you aren't already familiar with him you should check it out. I do all of the exercises in his program on my Ultimate Body Works, to include tibialis raise and Patrick steps (you could also do them on TG). Great idea on your lunge move Mike. That was the last "knees over toes" movement I was trying to mimic. Thanks.

Why not flip the attachments so that your kneels and hips aren't so rotated? Do the attachments interfere with one another?

Yes!! was hoping you would cover the Nordic curls. I bought a nordstick on amazon for $40 you loop it through the door and can do nordics, I haven't used it yet but good to know I have different options. That lunge looks interesting too. Thx for the ideas!

Great tip-I actually just started doing this lunge technique for past few months and thought I was doing something wrong but I’m glad you are putting this out to the universe..also, what’s your take on the large squat stand? Do you prefer the TG brand or the knockoff which is like 50 bucks cheaper. Curious on your thoughts man. Thx

Great ideas. So weird request, but since you at least have experience with the TG and with working out, I thought maybe I'd ask if you'd have any suggestions for me. I have a wrist injury from my teens which isn't going away, there's nerve damage, and I have burning in my fingers when I use the handles on the TG for doing pulling exercises. I tried one of those wrist hooks that weight lifters use to replace the grip strength issue, but that strap for that puts all of the weight directly on my wrist bone which is also painful. 😔 Do you have any suggestions on how I can still utilize my TG? Right now I'm thinking I can't use it because I can't find a way to modify for my wrist.
