Infinite Fusion, as a Nuzloke, with an additional rule that a Pokèmon is permanently fused with whatever is randomly caught next, could be fun.

If there’s two Pokémon of Ash’s I’d fuse, it would be Lucario and Melmetal. Extreme Metal power, with a speedy fighting type, and Double Iron Bash.

Something that could have made part of this easier is all of the Gen 1-4 starters are found in Viridian River, no matter what mode you play on. You may have to enter/exit to get all of them to spawn (with a bonus rare chance for Mew if you have high karma), but it is worth it.

Probably Infernape and Lycanroc? Both had issues with aggression when dealing with their own evolutions and were some of his best in the respective teams
