It's the history and ongoing situation in Indonesia also.
Tragic. First Dictator Sukarno then Suharto then PDIP again then Prabowo and Joko join forces to maintain power. Meanwhile rest of Indonesia other than Java has absolutely no as in Zero power over their lands. West Papua fighting to gain autonomy like PNG.

In an informed society, autocracy will cease to exist.

I wonder how this panel would resolve John Mearsheimer’s argument of Liberal Democracy and foreign policy.

How do you choose from autocracy who serves country and people and democracy who serves billionaires?

I enjoyed listening to this program while gardening. Thanks. I studied ancient Greece so knew the concepts of tyranny and democracy. Solon and Pericles. The questions were interesting, too. Some seemed to be saying democracies were behaving tyrannically towards other countries. It's a point. The other country does not get to vote against the government of the country attacking it.

There is no given point in history where autocracies have not existed so we can discuss how they fall, but remember autocracies also rise when democracies fail

Very interesting discussion!
Unfortunately some tyrants only fall by starting wars they can't win!
Luckely it appears so that diplomatic efforts worldwide operate on new levels nowadays. More such content please!

How do democracies fall? Oh, I know, they don't fall. Ever? So sure of yourselves, no? Perhaps you should contemplate your own fall before you worry about that of others.
