Hiking the Mirror Lake Loop | Porcupine Mountains

Hiking treks for us at Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park included a long day hike to explore the North Mirror Lake Trail, Correction Line Trail, and Big Carp River Trail to complete the Mirror Lake Loop.

The variety of terrain made the hike a good workout and the fall-color views were awesome, especially when you get up above the Lake of the Clouds valley!

Be prepared with plenty of water, food, and appropriate gear and you'll have an amazing day exploring The Porkies.

I’m not sure if I will ever get to the point where I could hike that far, but I’m working on it, after 2 knee replacements. I went camping and hiking in the Catskill mountains this weekend with my daughter and did a 3 mile hike to see the fall colors. Probably the last camping weekend until spring, as it was 37 degrees at night and the heater in our Roadtrek was running a lot during the night

Went there last fall and wanted to do this hike, but had some health issues that kept me relegated to the overlooks. After watching this video, I am now more than just a little motivated to make sure that I get myself back in shape and get out there to see these views. Beautiful footage and entertaining as always.
