And when the king of France heard that Napoleon won the hearts of the army, and was coming to Paris…. He ran away like a coward 🤣🤣

Two of my most favorite moments of Napoleon are these;

Friedland, 1807
Napoleon had his lunch served to him while he was within the range of Russian artillery. The Russians proceeded to take shots at him while he sat down and ate. An aide approached him and pleaded for him to move back to safety. Napoleon simply pointed to the Russian artillery and replied

“Those poor fellows will soon die less comfortably than how I will lunch.”

Wagram, 1809
During the height of the second day of the battle, the battle for a period turned into a 700 gun artillery duel. Napoleon proceeded to take one of his usual 20 minute naps and he napped through one of the most intense artillery battles of the Napoleonic Wars thus far. Not to mention it was also the largest battle in Europe at the time. Napoleon’s army totaled 155, 000 while the Austrians were 117, 000 at Wagram.

You know you're badass when you by yourself approach your former army knowing full well that they were send to kill you.

Not just the 5 eme, it was half the French army. The 5th was just the only regiment ordered into position to shoot.

Maybe Oda took inspiration for tye haki by this fact of Napoleon. In a movie is even showed that at least one soldier collapsed after Napoleon words.

I wonder if Alexander the Great would’ve fared as well or better than Napoleon if he lived in that age. There was no shields against rifles so it would’ve been very different

Another is when Napoleon said “There is nothing we can do”
